IT Systems
Managing more than two hundred and sixty collections or deliveries each day…
Performing more than two hundred collections and deliveries each day, together with the management
of empty stock and a fleet of tractor units can be a complex operation.
That's why we employ flexible IT systems that include operation route planning, customer service
performance analysis, fleet management, administration and accounts billing. These in-house
systems are linked to a number of customer and supplier systems via
EDI, including booking, port clearance and
VBS information.
Of course this data is valuable, not only to us, but to our customers as well. Our IT systems are
housed in a purpose built, secure server room. Our systems have redundant power supplies, network
connections and disk drives in RAID
arrays to provide resilience in case of a hardware failure of any kind. To further protect our data
– and your information – encrypted backups are created on a daily basis and
transferred to a secure off-site location where they are stored for up to six months.
PODs are an important part of the haulage industry; many of
our customers require PODs as soon as possible for their clients. So at James Kemball we have the
capability to scan PODs so that at any time, we can either fax, email or post the POD to you.
With these measures in place, you can be assured that we are always able to deliver your goods on
time, every time.
